Cellular Architectural Glass Windows

Tyler Kimball

Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Cellular Architectural Glass Windows by Tyler Kimball These 36 panels installed at the Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri are made of uniquely hand-blown glass rondels and sheet glass. Each of the 36 panels have been fabricated using brass-reinforced lead and cemented into place to keep them sturdy and structural for the next century. The panels are retro-fitted into commercial aluminum framing, utilizing lock-in sashes that make for easy access to each individual panel. These panels are located within the vestibule and the vertical window of this brand new healthcare center.
