The alloy is composed of magnesium, zinc and calcium, elements that the human body can absorb. Adjusting the mixing entropy of the alloy allows the degradation rate to be controlled precisely, while corrosion resistance and mechanical properties are improved. The material degrades slowly and evenly until it is absorbed and carried away by body fluids. The alloy is used in a single-use hemostatic clip that needs no second surgery for removal. No additional surface treatment is required.
