Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Cassiopeia Sculpture by Sini Majuri Cassiopeia is a glass sculpture made from recycled and industrial waste glass. The material would otherwise end up in landfill, and instead it is melted and reshaped into a new form. Each piece is mouth blown studio glass, shaped by hand. Rough and organic surfaces reflect Scandinavian aesthetics and light. Every glass dome is slightly illuminated, and the ice like surfaces melt together into a landscape like installation. The sculpture measures 150 by 50 by 30 centimeters. The intent is a poetic interpretation of the contrast between recycled and valuable material.
