The Glimmer Taped Train

Fine Arts and Art Installation Design The Glimmer Taped Train by Fundesign.tv The Glimmer is a tape art installation applied to a train in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Nearly 110 square meters of glow tape cover the outside of the train, forming murals that show the sea, the ports, the mountains and the buildings of the city. The tape absorbs sunlight during the day and emits light at night, so the train becomes a moving lantern without electrical power. The interior is decorated with luminous foils and changing lights. The installation was created for the Taiwan Lantern Festival and applies several tape art techniques.
