Year of Tiger Event
Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung
Event and Happening Design Year of Tiger Event by Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung Year of Tiger is a drone light show created for the Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung City. The show used 1,500 lightweight drones, flying between 30 and 204 meters above the Love River Bay. The reflection of the lights on the water linked the sky and the river into one image. The animated content combined Taiwanese folklore, history, geography, marine imagery, culture and sport, shown in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. One rehearsal and seven evening performances were held in February 2022.
