Fine Arts and Art Installation Design The Breakthrough Public Art Sculpture by Yu-Chi Chien The Breakthrough is an aluminum sculpture that is inspired by the teaching philosophy of Hillside Family Center. It is located at Hillside main campus of Rochester, NY. The image of wings that gradually grow from weak to strong reflects the breakthrough in the process of confronting and overcoming challenges and difficulties. The wings face the sun light and left the shadows behind. This is a symbol of the positive attitude Hillside would like their students and staff to maintain when facing ups and downs in life.
